A State House official made an urgent meeting to former President Daniel Arap Moi to discuss his office operations.
State House Comptroller Kinuthia Mbugua made the trip shortly after wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka had visited Moi upon request.
Moi’s press secretary Lee Njiru revealed that the two discussed the former president’s comfort and how they could improve it.
The comptroller further told Moi that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration was concerned about him and would always prioritise his comfort.
“Mr Mbugua and Mzee Moi’s talks focused on areas that needed improvement,” noted Mr. Njiru according to the Nation.
Kalonzo visited Moi’s home on Friday, November 16, after the former president had sent his son to deliver the request to the then mourning wiper leader.
Kalonzo proceeded to gift him with two goats and a bouquet of flowers. A unique gesture that had not been displayed by any of all the other dignitaries who had visited Moi’s home.
AU envoy Raila Odinga, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho are among those who have visited the former president.
Deputy President William Ruto has however not met the former president at his home following an unsuccessful visit in May.
Baringo Senator Gideon Moi delivered the invite to Kalonzo on a live broadcast during the burial of his father explaining that father wanted to deliver condolences at his Kabarak home.
