DCI Causes Excitement After Putting Armed Gangster to Sleep

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has caused excitement online after narrating how detectives put an armed gangster to sleep.

The DCI took to Twitter to narrate how authorities were able to catch up with the armed thug.

He was put to sleep at his hideout in Githurai Kimbo when he defied the order to surrender,” read part of the tweet.

The clever use of the phrase “Put to sleep” to mean that the officers killed him, invited Kenyans to marvel at the language used.

Detectives were working on a tip-off when they trailed the dangerous criminal who had killed a police officer.

The sleuths were able to recover one pistol and nine rounds of ammunition which are reported to have been stolen from the police officer he murdered.

Though most of the reactions were comical, some concerned netizens raised issues about the extrajudicial killings that have marred the police force.

Onyango Olang stated, “It is sad he killed a police officer and now he is killed as well.”

He added, “I want to urge that next time you strive to arrest them, get more information that can lead to the arrest of the other gang members since thugs operate in gangs. Your hard and risky work appreciated.”

In recent times, the DCI has been very open about their operations and arrests through regular communication disseminated using their twitter handle.
