EXCLUSIVE: Jacque Maribe Back at Citizen TV

Journalist Jacque Maribe is back at Citizen TV after she was granted bail in the murder trial of Nairobi businesswoman Monica Kimani.

Kenyans.co.ke can authoritatively report that the anchor resumed work on Monday.

Sources revealed that Maribe was in the newsroom perusing some scripts for the media house.

She will however not be anchoring news as directed by the High Court Judge James Wakiaga when he granted her bail application.

“The accused shall not read news, comment or participate in any interview directly or indirectly related to this case, 2 she shall not read news during the period this matter is fixed for hearing...

"She shall not interview any parties directly or indirectly connected with this case including the victim’s family, advocate, prosecution witnesses, and trial court,” Wakiaga ruled on October 30 adding that the order was subject to review.

Speaking on the matter another source revealed that "She will help in news production but she will not be on TV."

Earlier on, her employer (Royal Media Services) sent Maribe on a 3-month compulsory leave in light of the charges against her.

After her release, Maribe made her first public appearance at Samburu West Member of Parliament Naisula Lesuuda's lavish wedding.

She was granted access to her house in Lang'ata from Tuesday after suing DPP Haji and DCI for disobeying a court directive.
