President Kenyatta's Top Bodyguard's Fake Hand Raise Suspicions of Hidden Weapon

President Uhuru Kenyatta made heads turn at the Jamhuri day celebrations when he donned a ceremonial military outfit, but one of his security agents also stole Kenyans' eyes.

The Senior Superintendent of the Presidential Police Escort was spotted with a left hand that many presumed was fake due to the distinguishable difference of colour from his right hand.

The photo was captured when the Uhuru went to greet the excited Kenyans who had gathered to listen to his Jamhuri Day speech.

Netizens likened the situation to one where a secret service agent allegedly used a prosthetic arm to conceal a weapon during US President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

A security expert who is well conversant with the president's security detail dismissed the theories that were fueled by Kenyans, explaining that the bodyguard’s hand was normal.

He stated that nothing was off about Uhuru’s aide who he referred to by a code name ‘Oscar one’ and that the difference in skin tone was only as a result of the camera’s angle or that he had worn a glove.

It is not a surprise that he refused to substantiate the observation of most Kenyans, given that the president’s security arrangements are very secret.

The expert divulged to Kenyans.co.ke that Uhuru’s security detail comprises a multi-agency team with different roles and responsibilities.

The team in charge of Kenyatta’s innermost security is the presidential escort that handles close VIP protection.

The second layer comprises the finest Recce squad officers whose main duties are to cordon off the public and assist in firepower if needed.

Other agencies involved in the President’s protection are agents from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, National Intelligence Service as well as military intelligence.
