Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has voiced that Deputy President William Ruto could possibly be the anointed man for the presidency.
Through his weekly show, The 5th Estate, Mutahi opined that since biblical times, God has never banked on the perfect to deliver his will.
"This Christmas, I want to declare that I am a follower of the Carpenter from Nazareth. I am a believer in the Cross and its power. I am inspired by the birth of this truth speaking Carpenter.
"Ruto is probably a thug or a mkora (crook)... We don't know! But God doesn't use perfect people, He likes the weak and imperfect," he stated.
The political analyst went further to defend that most of the ladies in the lineage and ministry of Jesus were imperfect.
"Even Mary the Mother of Christ suffered the shame of teenage pregnancy like our KCPE candidates. She was a virgin who got pregnant, it was a contradiction," Mutahi stated.
Noting that contradiction is often a "midwife of change", Mutahi indicates that Ruto is a perfect contradiction which may likely catapult him to the presidency.
Besides, the political analyst notes that the rumoured referendum may equally provide a much needed chance to re-engineer the country politics.
Mutahi further indicated that it would be prejudicial to dismiss the handshake in its entirety.
However, he cautioned that only time would tell whether the handshake was a good idea or not depending on what it would precipitate.
