Driver Slaps, Threatens Tourist With Machete at Maasai Mara [VIDEO]

There was drama during a game drive at Maasai Mara National Reserve when a driver turned his anger onto a domestic tourist.

In a video that surfaced online, the altercation occurred between the two men identified as John Lesian (driver) and Hillary Murage (tourist).

The two are seen engaging in a heated argument when Lesian slaps Murage in unclear circumstances.

Onlookers get in between the two men trying to prevent the situation from escalating any further.

Despite the intervention, the driver is still able to land a second jab on the tourist.

The other men are eventually able to separate the two into their separate vehicles.

However, the two continue shouting at each other and it is at this point that the driver removes a machete from his vehicle.

He tries to make his way to the tourist but the onlookers block him from accessing Murage.

"Na ako na panga (He has a machete)," another tourist out of the camera view is heard shouting.

In a separate incident, a tourist from UK, Joshua Ribbons, revealed how foreign tourists in Kenya end up being tricked in the hands of rogue tour guides.

According to reports, the tour guides work with private ranch owners to divert their trip into these premises.

Speaking to Nation, Gibson narrated how his intended visit to Tsavo East park from Mombasa with his Kenyan partner ended up in a private ranch.

“We believed we paid 26k for a trip to Tsavo East and after a shorter journey than expected of 3 hours from Mombasa we were apparently there. I checked on the map on my phone and it didn’t seem like we were really in the national park,” he explained.
