Identical Triplets Admitted at St. Patrick's Iten

Strange coincidences surrounding the lives of identical triplets from Kuresoi North in Nakuru County have baffled area residents.

The three brothers, Amos, Samson and Gideon Yegon sat their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams in 2018 scoring 362, 357 and 352 marks respectively.

Notably, the three siblings, who have all secured a place at the very prestigious St. Patrick’s High School in Iten, had a gap of 5 marks.

But that’s not all. According to their mother Lily Chemutai, the brothers were born 5 minutes apart in 2005.

I got the triplets in the year 2005 and raising them was not easy as a single mother. It was difficult until the someone intervened by offering to support me,” she stated.

As if that not enough, the single mother revealed that she has 5 children.

These rare coincidences have left Kenyans with more questions than answers.

In other news, the Ministry of Education has extended the reporting deadline for Form One students by a week following requests from school principals and parents.

A circular authored by Education PS Belio Kispang revealed that the date had been pushed to Friday, January 18.

The move is meant to allow for the full transition of students from primary to secondary schools.

"To ensure 100 percent transition is attained, and the need to give every child an opportunity, the Ministry of Education has extended the reporting date," Kipsang’s statement reads in part.
