Musician Naiboi Detained by Police, Ordered to Delete Video in Mombasa

Kenyan artiste Naiboi found himself on the wrong side of the law when police temporarily detained him and ordered that he delete a video.

The musician who was in the company of Kristoff were heading for an interview at a radio station based in Mombasa when the drama unfolded.

According to reports, police stormed the media house demanding to see the two who were accompanied by their photographers.

The artistes and their crew allegedly took video of their entrance into the building, in a bid to hype their appearance.

“We were just filming, we did not know there were police officers at that entrance. One of them asked why we were filming them which we replied we were not,” Naiboi was quoted by a local newspaper.

Midway through their interview, police demanded to see them at the station's reception area.

The duo was taken by the officers and detained in a bank in the building's ground floor.

“They asked us to delete the video, which we did," the 2 in 1 hitmaker explained.

They were released an hour later.
