Gaza Gang Kills Ex-KDF Soldier Over Ksh60

Members of the city terror gang, Gaza, reportedly killed a former Kenya Defense Force (KDF) officer on Wednesday night over Ksh60.

Samson Kamau was ambushed by five members of the notorious gang as he waited for a boda boda rider to take him home at Mukuyu market, Murang'a.

The gang reportedly took Ksh60 from Kamau before stabbing him to death.

“One member of the gang was arrested while four escaped," his wife Margret Wambui was quoted.

The suspect, who named his accomplices, narrated how they terrorised locals while armed with hammers and knives.

According to Wambui, her husband left home at 4pm on Wednesday to Mukuyu, only for her to receive the sad news that he had been killed.

This was reportedly the second time the gang had accosted a member of the family with an earlier incident in 2018.

"Last year, the gang followed my husband to our home and robbed him of a mobile phone and money before beating him and leaving him for dead,” Jane Wairimu, a daughter to the deceased narrated.

Not even my pleas could stop them, they threatened to kill us if we raised alarm," Wairimu recounted.

Murang'a County Police Commander Mohammed Farah  lamented that despite the police’s efforts to wipe out the criminal gang, the suspects were always released by the court.

In 2018, for instance, 12 members of the squad were charged for being members of an outlawed group but eventually released by a Murang’a court for lack of evidence.
