Nick Ndeda Leaves X-FM After 7-Year Stint

X FM’s popular radio presenter Nick Ndeda on Thursday announced his exit from the radio station to pursue other life endeavours.

The popular presenter of Rock music in the country shared the message on social media via Insta Stories.

He divulged, “So, I’m doing my final show on XFM tomorrow. It’s been an awesome 7 years hosting that zany morning show. I had great shoes to fill following Fareed Khimani. Tomorrow, let’s do it one last time! And if you wanna send samosas to the studio then all I can say is aaamen!”

Ndeda has worked at Radio Africa Group’s X FM for seven years and has a significant fanbase.

He initially indicated that he developed the love for the radio presentation business when he once took his brother Jeremy Odhiambo for an audition for the same job at Kenya’s Homeboys Radio in Nairobi.

Ndeda is on record stating, "If it wasn’t for my brother Jeremy Odhiambo, I wouldn’t be on the airwaves. He told me to accompany him for a radio audition at Homeboyz Radio and I had nothing to do".

He added that he also got a chance to try out his luck, for the fun of it, after hours of queuing while waiting for his brother’s turn.

At some point, he attempted to leave the line since he was not at the venue for the auditions but the ushers implored him saying, “Where are you going? You stood up on the line for hours you might as well try.”

In the end, he ended up getting the job even as his brother missed out.

He spent 3 years working for Homeboys Radio before leaving for Hot 96.

Ndeda also doubles as an actor with a great passion for the art.

He was also on the receiving end of a huge opportunity of playing the character “Kalonzo” in M-Nets popular show “Jacob’s Cross”.

The call to join X FM came soon after he was done with the much-publicized show.
