Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria Mocks Raila Over Election Loss

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has taken a swipe at Raila Odinga over the ODM's loss in  Ugenya and away in Embakasi South by-elections.

Taking to Facebook on Friday, the controversial legislator revealed that the 2022 presidential elections would only be between him and Deputy President William Ruto following ODM's loss in two by-elections - one in their stronghold.

He went ahead to ask Raila to support his presidential bid.

''I send my condolences to Baba for losing both at home in Ugenya and away in Embakasi South. From the foregoing, it is clear that 2022 is an outright two horse dead heat between William Ruto and myself. I seek your support Baba,” Kuria wrote.

His sentiments did not sit well with many netizens with most of them asking him to stop making fun of Raila.

Danny Dante wrote, "2022 it will be a neck to neck battle between you and rejected votes."

Frida Kamencu wrote, "I wonder if these are the political characters we have in our country, we Kenyans,  have the long journey to go."

Moses Onyango posted, "You are lying to yourself. How can you defeat Baba? You are the biggest joke of the century."

Alfonso Alfred commented, "Kuria don't think of engaging you will lose even being village elder."

Others, however, seemed to support his candidature. They asked him not to back down in his pursuit of the presidency.

Kuria's sentiments come barely a week after he seemed to belittle Raila in a Facebook post.

He rubbed some people the wrong way after implying that the opposition leader was part of his delegation and not the other way round.
