Classic 105 radio presenter Maina Kageni is wildly excited about Diamond Platnumz's new song The One.
In the love ballad, the popular musician mentions Maina's name as an ad lib while asking for advice about a girl.
The presenter was so excited that he made a joke on planning to address the nation about it.
"When a global megastar intentionally asks you for advice by dropping your name in his latest hit!!!!!!!" read part of the radio host's post on Instagram.
The Radio Africa presenter is a known fan of Diamond's music and plays it often on his Maina and King'ang'i in the Morning show.
Kageni's followers congratulated and roasted him in equal measure.
"I will hold the mic while you address the nation. After that, Inspecta Mwala will clear the highway for your convoy to Kempinski, where you’ll share a table with those who’ve made it in life," joked a Twitter user called Omoro.
Gitonga Mugo advised Maina not to be selfish with the glory but share it with other namesakes as the shout out could have been meant for anyone with a similar name.
Jerry Oyongo added that Diamond wasn't referring to the presenter but Githeri man, who is also called Maina.
"So Maina won't let us rest, it's gonna be his anthem the whole month," commented Sonya Soraya.
