The High Commissioner of Kenya to the UK and former State House spokesman, Manoah Esipisu lost his brother, Frandell Njite Esipisu, on Wednesday following a short illness.
A celebrated drama teacher and community organiser in Kakamega County, the late Frandell was described as a man who was deeply passionate about helping students hone their craft in the field of performing arts.
President Uhuru Kenyatta sent out his message of condolence to the family of the late Frandell, describing him as a man who was highly regarded within the community.
"I am deeply saddened by the untimely death of the influential and highly rated drama teacher who had great passion and drive in nurturing the talents of students in performing arts," Uhuru remarked.
Ambassador Esipisu's late brother was an ever-present feature at the drama and music festivals where he guided his students to award-winning plays and poems mostly written and composed by him.
The 43-year-old was an alumnus of Bungoma high school and Mosoriot Teachers Training College.
Gifted in the field of arts and theatre, the late Frandell leaves behind his widow, Anne Khaoya Njite and their two children, Shantel Sheraton Ambasa and Michelle Mwanika.
In his message, Uhuru prayed for comfort and encouragement to the family, relatives and friends of Kakamega-based drama teacher.
