Dutch Football Legend Roasts Victor Wanyama Over Poor Performance

Dutch legend Rudd Gullit has come to criticise national team captain Victor Wanyama over his performance during Tottenham's loss to Ajax in the UEFA champions league on Tuesday night.

Gullit who was one of the pundits analysing the game tore into Wanyama and his other two teammates over what he termed as technical unawareness.

[Victor] Wanyama, technically oh my god!,” Gullit exclaimed.

The 56-year-old Dutchman, who boasts a successful playing career with spells at AC Milan, Feyenoord, and Chelsea during his heyday, made his submissions while appearing as a pundit on Bein Sports alongside former Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger and former Chelsea and French defender Marcel Desailly.

His sentiments were also supported by many Tottenham fans as they expressed their frustrations after the 0-1 loss at their own back yard in London.

Some of the London based club fans also called for the club management to have Wanyama and some other players sold over the upcoming transfer window.

Looking back at last night, Trippier is still living off the World Cup and we need to bring in a decent RB this summer. Sanchez looks like a headless chicken 90% of the time! Wanyama has gone useless, but he likes his spaghetti,” stated Graham O’Brien a fan.

When the players' performance rating for the match was released after the game, Wanyama received a mere 4/10.

Ajax players targeted him early on and he lost the ball numerous times whether through rushed passing or over-running it. Not a good evening for him,” Football London reported.

The club manager Mauricio Pochetino came absolved Wanyama and his teammates of any fault by stating that he is the one that got his tactics wrong.
