Political analysts have read beyond the script by suggesting that this move could have been initiated by Kuria himself to void being kicked out of the Jubilee party that sponsored him to parliament in the 2017 elections.
According to the Political Parties Act, a member is deemed to have defected from a party if the member advances or promotes the interests of another party.
