Man Gives DP Ruto Ksh100 to Buy Tea After Job Promise

A comedian, Victor Naman, visited Deputy President William Ruto's office on Tuesday and gave him a Ksh 100 note to buy tea.

This was during a comedy that the two were showcasing when he hosted Kenyan online content creators at his Karen office in Nairobi.

"Siwezi kuwacha bure, hii ni mia moja ununue kachai (I won't leave you empty handed, here is a Ksh 100 note that you can use to buy a cup of tea)," Naman told the DP.

Naman also asked the Deputy President to make him the chicken manager at his farm in Eldoret after he expressed how much he loved the bird.

"Aaah si kuku bana utakula stock (Won't you eat the whole stock of chicken)," the DP inquired.

Naman, though jokingly, asked Ruto to give him a chicken each day as a form his payment for the job.

"One chicken each day my friend, si hio ata itapita mshahara (won't a chicken a day be more than your salary)?" Ruto questioned.

The deputy president promised to give him the job, stating that they would talk about the compensation package.

In another clip, the DP played the role of a hustler whose caretaker, played by Terence Creative AKA Kamami, wants to disconnect the water over unpaid bills.

Comedy group Propesa also used the DP in a skit where they made a mock phone call to Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen claiming that they had sought the DP's intervention to compel the legislator to pay a debt.
