How Uhuru is Wasting His Time - Ahmednasir

Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has revealed details about the conversation he had with President Uhuru Kenyatta regarding the Big 4 Agenda.

He was speaking an interview with KTN's Tony Gachoka when he expressed his views on the president's legacy project.

When Uhuru came with these ideas of the four pillars I told him that he is wasting his time," the respected lawyer spoke.

He explained that a good amount of the money and resources committed to achieving the president's agenda would be stolen.

He added that the country does not have strong institutions that can protect the money from corrupt individuals.

Speaking about the war on corruption Ahmednasir stated that 80 per cent of the cases before the judiciary were useless.

“I can tell you as a lawyer that 80 per cent of those cases are useless. They should not have been brought to court in the first place. Either the evidence is weak or … I have done cases where the prosecutor brings witnesses but you cross-examine none because there is nothing,” he told his host Tony.

He accused the government of impeding on the anti-graft war by straining the Judiciary's budget.

“Every year the Jubilee administration has been cutting budget for the Judiciary and it is petty because they are fighting it. If you want the fight to go on, give resources to the DPP, DCI and the Judiciary,” Ahmednasir advised.

He urged President Uhuru to revive the idea of lifestyle audits for state official so that they could be exposed for amassing wealth through corruption.
