Four people died on Friday morning after a T.S.S Express Bus heading to Mombasa veered off the road and plunged into a valley in Mazeras near Mombasa.
Coast Traffic Commandant Emmanuel Okanda divulged that 21 people had been rushed to hospital while rescue operations were ongoing as some passengers had been trapped in the bus.
Mr Okanda stated that they were yet to establish what caused the accident.
The Mazeras incident comes barely two days after a Nairobi-bound Modern Coast bus mysteriously burst into flames along Mombasa Road in Kyulu, Makueni County. Fortunately, all passengers were safely evacuated.
