Female MPs' Cause Spectacle in Church with Matching Outfits [PHOTOS]

More than 20 Women Representatives and female leaders were a sight to behold after they arrived donning matching outfits at a church service in Baringo County on Sunday.

The legislators had attended the service on the invitation of Baringo Woman Representative Gladwell Tungo Cheruiyot.

The team is part of Embrace Kenya, a women Movement that advocates for a just, fair, secure and prosperous Kenya.

The movement, whose members come from different political parties, supports the peace and cohesion that was brought by the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

An aide to one of the members of the movement told Kenyans.co.ke that the group would travel around the country spreading peace.

"Team Embrace is headed to Baringo to show solidarity with the women and children who are working in very difficult circumstances to bring peace and cohesion in the restive region. We want to be part of the solution. We are the solution.

"Team Embrace recognizes that though women may belong to different political persuasions, we all face the same challenges in ensuring Kenya keeps its promises to women, in representation, in sharing the national cake," read a statement from the movement.

They invited all women to join hands and bring to the table, concerns of women in all spheres of socio-economic and political contestation for power.

Some of the leaders that attended the service include Sabina Chege (Murang'a), Gladys Wanga (Homabay) Esther Passaris (Nairobi) Fatuma Gedi (Wajir), and Mishi Mboko (Likoni MP).

The group was also joined by former Nyeri Woman Rep Priscilla Nyokabi, former Senator Zipporah Kittony, former Nairobi Speaker Beatrice Elachi among others.
