Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa revealed his artistic side on Sunday when he composed rhymes to troll former Prime Minister Raila Odinga over the Dubai gold scam.
He was speaking at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish in Naivasha where Deputy President William Ruto was also attending a church service.
"Juzi tumemwona mwarabu, akiwa na ghadhabu, sababu dhahabu yake imechukuliwa na watu hawana adabu. Watu ambao wanafaa wapate adhabu kali (We've seen a frustrated Arab protesting because his gold was taken by sketchy individuals, people who should be punished)," stated Ichung'wa after which the crowd burst into laughter.
He also dismissed Raila's claims of being the whistleblower that helped expose the scam.
Kimani accused the former PM of being part of the elaborate scheme to defraud Dubai-based businessman Ali Zandi.
"You were with the fraudsters. You travelled to Dubai with them but you want to claim to be a whistleblower. Tell us what you went to do and what you came back with," dared the MP.
"You were given a job to promote infrastructure in Africa, your work is not looking for gold or constructing roads using gold. If you are indeed a whistleblower, tell us the conmen you went to Dubai with. How many statements have you recorded with the DCI? You are as guilty as the fraudsters who you travelled with," the legislator added.
On Saturday, Raila claimed that he was with the Arabs who were conned when they were contacted by the fraudsters.
"So I told the Arabs to tell them to put Matiang'i on the phone. When he came on he said, 'This is Matiangi, I confirm we have your consignment and if you comply to our conditions, we will transfer your consignment to Wajir Airport where you can go and pick it up',” Odinga cited.
“It is at this point, that I interjected and told the Arabs that they are being duped and that those are notorious conmen," he continued.
