UPDATE: Maqbul Mohammed also announced his leaving Capital FM after the Managing Director Somoina Kimojino exclusively told told Kenyans.co.ke that he would be moving to another show in the station.
Radio Presenter Cess Mutungi has announced her departure from Capital FM after 10 years at the station.
Known for her sultry voice and bubbly personality, Cess has for the better part of the decade kept Kenyans engaged with her show -The Jam.
"Thank you for the fabulous 10 years. Thank you for your love, support and strength. It's been amazing," she conveyed on her social media.
Confirming her departure, her PR Manager Patrick Githinji of Celebrity PR described Cess AKA the Chairlady as a fun, hilarious and entertaining presenter.
"10 years of The Jam will never be the same. It was a true blessing to you. It was fun, hilarious, and entertaining. Your infectious laughter, wit, wisdom and knowledge will be missed by many. You defined what radio should be in the afternoon and media history books will write your incredible story one day," Githinji wrote on his Instagram.
Her last show will reportedly be on Friday.
Capital FM Managing Director Somoina Kimojino also confirmed that the radio presenter was leaving the station.
She revealed that the radio station was undergoing some changes adding, "The business is structuring and every smart business person knows when to restructure."
Speaking on Presenter Maqbul Mohammed's fate, the MD clarified that he would be moving to a different show.
When reached for comment, Maqbul opted to remain mum on what he was planning noting that some changes were coming and he would make an announcement on Friday.
