Sonko Throws Grand Party at City Hall [VIDEO]

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, on Wednesday night, threw a lavish party for members of the Muslim community at City Hall.

The party was aimed at celebrating Iftar, a closely followed practice by the Muslim which is part of the ongoing holy month of Ramadhan.

Although the actual expenditure information of the party was not disclosed, the turnout was huge.

In the video, Sonko is seen dressed in white Muslim regalia complete with a hat to match and for him to fit in as well.

Speaking at the event, the governor praised President Uhuru Kenyatta for ordering the release of import goods containers held at inland container depot in Embakasi.

The Imams who were in attendance prayed for his leadership to continue impacting the people as he has been doing and made a special request for him to help them access clean water.

Also in attendance were Embakasi South MP Julius Mawathe and professor Hassan Kinywa.

This comes two days after the Governor splashed money to celebrate the seventh birthday of his adopted son Satrin Osinya.

Sonko took in the orphaned child after his mother was shot dead shielding him from a bullet during a terror attack at a church in Likoni.

Osinya survived with a bullet in his brain.
