Kenyan gospel singer Willy Paul and bongo flavor artist Nandy on Tuesday took to social media to clear the air concerning rumors of their involvement in a grisly road accident in Morogoro, Tanzania.
Willy, fondly referred to as Pozee by fans, took to his social media platforms assuring fans of his safety and that of his colleagues.
He, however, confirmed the occurrence of an accident in their convoy that was headed for the much-awaited Nandy festival scheduled for Saturday in Sumbwanga with no deaths recorded.
“We are still alive. There was an accident but no death reports...TKO njiani,” confirmed the gospel artist.
Tanzania media reports initially claimed that the two were travelling in a Nandy-branded bus when the driver lost control and the bus overturned in Mikumi area in Morogoro.
Pozee, however, made clarifications on the same stating that only a bus from the convoy carrying dancers, band members among other leaders was involved in the accident.
Other artistes in the convoy included Juma Nature, Whozu, Stamina, Roma, Barnaba and Ice Boy.
The accident happened four days after the controversial gospel singer and Nandy’s raunchy performance during the choma na ngoma festival last week in Kenya International Conventional Centre (KICC) Nairobi.
Photos and videos of the two set social media ablaze with most savagely criticizing their uncouth behavior on stage.
The accident, however, sparked a lot of mixed reactions and panic on social media with most sympathizing with Pozee and the Nandy festival team.
