Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo was on Tuesday caught on camera assaulting a blogger, Morris Otieno, for allegedly defaming him.
In a 41 seconds video that has been making rounds on social media, the MP is seen walking towards Otieno who is seated with his friends, after which he starts throwing his fists at him.
Otieno is said to have posted the MP's summons by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) on his Facebook page.
Morris had posted that the EACC officers summoned the legislator to the Kisumu offices for the purpose of providing information on the ongoing probe of CDF management.
"I pulled the post down, in the cause of the day I received numerous calls and then I had to call mheshimiwa on phone.
"I called but he did not pick, I sent him a text, after a few minutes he came to where I was breathing fire," Otieno narrated.
In a twist to the story, the MP reported the matter at the Kisumu Central Police Station citing that a group of youth damaged his vehicle.
