FBI Invite DCI & DPP for a High-Level Meeting in US

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss George Kinoti will fly to the US for a meeting with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The two will be accompanied by a team of top investigators and prosecutors as reported by People Daily.

Haji and Kinoti were invited to the US by the FBI and the US Department of Justice to discuss an array of issues.

Among the issues on the agenda were corruption, counter-terrorism and sharing of intelligence.

Haji and Kinoti will have a sit-in meeting with the head of FBI Christopher Wray.

The report added that the delegation will be in Washington DC for three days and another two days in New York.

“The invitation for Kinoti and Haji for such a high-level meeting is a clear indication that the international community fully supports their war -on corruption,” stated a US embassy official who sort to remain anonymous.

This comes immediately after CJ David Maraga criticised the government on the fight against corruption.

He accused the executive and the legislature of selective implementation of the constitution.

Maraga told the Oxford Union Conference in the UK that the country had failed to deal with corruption and impunity, vote rigging and dithering in passing laws to empower women.
