Deputy President William has once again tickled the crowd with a jab aimed at Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
While speaking in Busia during the launch of Lower Nzoia Irrigation Project, the DP discouraged the area residents from falling for cheap politics players.
It was during the event where he referred to the former premier as "Mtu wa Vitendawili", a term that left his congregation in stitches.
"Sijui vitendawili hapa, ooh tibim, ooh. Unafikiri mambo itafanyika hivyo? wacheni mchezo (These riddles, ooh tibim, ooh, Do you think things will be done that way? Stop playing,)," the DP sarcastically stated.
He further promised them that he would carry on with preaching good and carrying out projects because they foster unity among all Kenyans.
At the event, Ruto also joined farmers in planting rice during a visit to Siaya and Busia Counties.
He launched a Ksh5.8 billion irrigation project in Busia County before touring Sisenye irrigation scheme to assess progress.
The photos that are in possession of Kenyans.co.ke showed him in a black pair of pants, a striped shirt, a cap and a pair of gumboots while planting the rice in a swampy field.
The irrigation project is aimed at boosting rice production and preventing destructive floods in the area.
The project will cover Ugunja, Alego Usonga and Budalangi constituencies.
The lower Nzoia project is funded by the World Bank and German government at Ksh3.9 billion and Ksh1.4 billion respectively.
