India Police Arrest Kenyan Woman Over Murder

A Kenyan woman was on Wednesday arrested in New Delhi, India in connection to the murder of her Kenyan flatmate.

The deceased only referred to as Annsam, is reported to have died from a deep wound on her chest that was caused by a knife.

Relatives who reported the incident to the police also claimed that the 45-year-old was pronounced dead on her arrival at the hospital.

“She was sharing the flat with six or seven other women from her country,” the deputy commissioner of police (south) Vijay Kumar reported to Hundastantimes website.

New Delhi police reports reveal that the deceased had been leaving in India for approximately 10 years and on raiding her flat, her Visa and passport could not be found.

Bruises on the dead woman’s roommate aroused suspicion that she may have been involved in the murder and that led to the lawmakers detaining her.

The suspected murderer’s boyfriend was also arrested as the couple is reported to have been in the house during the ordeal.

The boyfriend disclosed to the police that the two women had earlier fought over a bottle of beer in their house in South Delhi’s Mehrauli.
