New Twist as Mother Forcefully Separates Daughter From Kakamega Twins

The sensational Kakamega twins' seemingly close-knit family was not to last long as one of the mothers stormed the home and left with her biological daughter.

People Daily reported that Angeline Omina, the biological mother of Melvis Imbaya, who was brought up with one of the twins, sought the intervention of police officers who escorted her to where the girls had been living.

The publication further detailed that Melvis herself had refused to leave with her biological mother claiming that she would live with the other two girls, Sharon Mathias and Melon Lutenyo, but the officers intervened in time and took control of the situation.

Confirming the incident, Kakamega County Police Commander Bernard Muli revealed that Omina took her daughter to Kangemi, Nairobi, where she resides.

Omina had previously lived with one of the identical twins, Sharon, as her daughter following a mix-up at Kakamega Hospital during their birth.

Speaking about the separation, the grandmother to the twins, Sehm Abuti, expressed disappointment revealing that the family was taken aback by Omina's move.

“She came insisting that since one of the twins had been confirmed not to be her daughter, she wanted to take away Melvis because she cannot remain without a child,” stated Abuti.

The three girls, together with the biological mother of the identical twins, were reportedly preparing to meet Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya following an invite when the separation occurred.

These wrangles come just a week after the three girls asked not to be separated despite the results of the DNA tests.

The girls had vowed to disappear following any attempt to separate them and that they would never be found again.

“The girls have told us they do not want to be separated. They see each other as sisters and we have decided to respect their wishes,” stated one of the mothers at the time.
