Commotion as Woman Fights With County Askari to Avoid Arrest

A female hawker in the streets of Eldoret town on Thursday engaged county inspectorate officers in a physical confrontation as they tried to arrest her.

In the video, she is seen man-handling the county askari as she held him by his collars and pushing him back violently.

This confrontation attracted the attention of the public and passers-by who intervened to rescue the man from the furious lady.

The angry lady is heard asking the officer to return her wares that he had allegedly confiscated in a bid to push the hawkers off the streets.

A crowd that had now formed due to the commotion is heard differing over how the woman was handling the county enforcer.

Others are overheard mocking the county askari’s timid response in the entire saga as he doesn't react to the woman's constant pushing and shoving.

She is later seen picking up her Jiko that she was using to roast maize and angrily walked away still complaining.

This incident comes a few days after another woman in Nairobi climbed on top of a county vehicle after claiming her wares had been confiscated as she was violently arrested, teargassed and then locked up at the central police station.

Nairobi governor Mike Sonko offered a cash reward to anyone who had the original video of the woman being arrested in order to assist with the investigations.

The county officers denied all her allegations claiming that they had parked the car and headed for lunch only to come back and find her on top of it.
