Touched Kalonzo Praises Sonko's Unusual Leadership Style

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka showered Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko with praise following his unique and somewhat controversial leadership style.

Speaking on Friday during a ceremony at the Lunga Lunga health facility in Makadara sub-county, the former Vice President was mostly inspired by the manner in which Sonko handled the health sector in his county.

He termed the governor's ways as unusual but effective and that he helped improve thousands of lives of Nairobi residents.

"Pumwani hospital was a place where infants died all the time but since Governor took office, all things are now in order, " he praised of him.

Sonko, who also spoke at the event, hailed Kenya Pipeline MD Hudson Adambi for initiating the corporal social responsibility project.

He admitted that he was able to get Wiper's support although he was elected on a Jubilee ticket because of his keenness to improve the lives of youth in Nairobi by paying more attention on health.

"Focusing on health is a strategic move. A healthy nation is always a productive nation," he stated.

The governor has also received numerous accolades from local and international leaders following his development record.

The UN-Habitat, World Bank and other UN agencies have recently heaped praise on Sonko for his work in various sectors of the economy and society.

This week, the Good Deeds Ambassador was also feted by the Professional Criminologists Association of Kenya for his fight against crime, terrorism and corruption.
