Murkomen Loses Another Ally to Murder

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has lost another close ally to cold-blooded killers.

A report by The Standard indicated that Ben Kiptoo, who was a teacher at Napeki Primary School in Trans Nzoia County, was killed and dumped in Chepchonia Forest.

Murkomen, who is also the Senate Majority Leader, took to social media on Friday to break the news of his passing.

Murkomen had earlier pleaded with his kidnappers to spare his life after reports emerged that he had been kidnapped.

"I have received disturbing news that Mr Ben Kiptoo, a teacher from Tebe, Kapyego Ward who is currently teaching Napeki primary school in Trans Nzoia county has been missing from yesterday 11am and is believed to have been abducted by unknown people.

"The latest tracking shows he is inside Chepchoina Forest. I am also informed he called a few minutes ago expressing concerns about his life. If you are involved I really beg you to spare the life of Mwalimu Kiptoo. Have mercy on him for the sake of his wife and children. Please," he wrote.

According to the publication, Murkomen and Kiptoo hail from the same village and were acquaintances.

His brutal killing occurred barely a week after Murkomen's PA Benson Kiptire was found dead.

The former Kapyego MCA's body was found dumped in a thicket in Kamatira Forest, West Pokot County.

He was allegedly abducted by people who claimed to be police officers at his shop in Eldoret Town.
