The adopted daughter of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko graduated from Daystar University on Saturday, June 29.
Janet Kahingi, alias Janetta Nyamu, was reportedly conferred with a business diploma from the Athi River-based institution.
Nairobi County First Lady Primrose Mbuvi was among the first people who congratulated her on the great feat.
She revealed that she adopted Janet into her family 13 years ago, adding that she was happy to have seen her grow.
While applauding her for graduating, Sonko's wife informed her that the journey had just begun and that they would give her their full support.
"I assure you of my full support throughout the journey. If anything, my resolve has been emboldened especially now that you have set the bar for your siblings Sandra, Gift and Baby Satrine Osinya. You’ve made your father and I proud," she posted.
In a rejoinder, Janet thanked the first lady for her support, adding that she would always make the family proud.
"I lack words to express my gratitude mine is to say thank you for always holding my hands through this journey.
"You, dad and my siblings mean absolutely the world to me and I will always and forever make you proud," she wrote.
