KTN Journalist Weds in Colourful Ceremony [PHOTOS]

KTN investigative journalist Hussein Mohammed officially bowed out of the bachelor's club when he tied the knot on Saturday in a colourful ceremony.

Mohammed who was crowned the Journalist of the Year award by the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) in 2018, exchanged vows at Madina Centre Mosque along Mbagathi Way in Nairobi.

The ceremony, Nikkah, commenced in the afternoon with a number of familiar faces from the media fraternity attending in support.

Journalists Ali Manzu (KTN)Hudheifa Aden and Ian Wafula both from BBC, Hassan Mugambi (Citizen TV), Rashid Abdalla (Citizen TV) and Yussuf Ibrahim were among those in attendance.

Earlier in May, Citizen TV anchor Sam Gituku tied the knot to his colleague Ivy Waitherero, who's a news director at the station.

The event was attended by some of the biggest names in the media industry including Citizen TV journalists Waihiga MwauraMac Otani and Joe Ageyo.

His colleagues from Royal Media Services (RMS) put their best foot forward as they joyously danced while presenting their gifts to the couple.

In the front line were senior Swahili anchor Lulu Hassan and political affairs reporter Stephen Letoo who did more than just set the train for their workmates.

Also in the line were sports journalist Bernard Ndong and Jacque Maribe who despite carrying their gifts, produced some well-executed dance moves.

Not to be left behind were senior anchors Jamila Mohamed and Rashid Abdallah who gave the younger journalists a run for their money.
