Female MP Wears School Uniform to Launch Project & Kenyans Are Elated [PHOTOS]

Njoro MP Charity Kathambi Chepkwony, on Monday, excited a crowd after she donned a primary school uniform to launch a project.

Dressed in a brown checkered dress complete with a brown sweater, Kathambi commissioned two complete classrooms and toilets for both boys and girls at Sigaon Primary School, Nessuit Ward.

She then proceeded to two more schools, Mauche Samoei Secondary School and Lulukwet Primary School in Mauche Ward.

"My priority is education and investing in proper school infrastructure. This will boost access to quality education, influence learning and ensure students achieve better grades.

"I support CBC (Competency Based Curriculum), that is why I encourage all community and education stakeholders to sit and agree on the best, effective education system that will maximise the potential of our children, secure their future and (will be) responsive to the needs of industry," declared the MP.

Smitten Kenyans expressed their admiration of the lawmaker's zeal and development record and congratulated her for the effort.

"Wonderful project madam ...I like your innovative programmes," shared a supporter.

"Good work our leader....... Here at the grassroots, we are feeling your development as the youth. Asante sana (thank you very much)," added a user identified as Vinnie.

"Mama (mum) I like your uniform looking good and thumbs up for the good work," posted yet another user.

In mid-June, Kimilili Member of Parliament, Didmus Barasa, lit up the internet after he showed up at a school to launch a project barefoot and wearing shorts.

To make matters exciting, the MP was spotted in a patched-up pair of shorts, a white shirt and a tie.

The lawmaker was officially presiding over the opening of Daraja Mbili Primary School that was built by the Kimilili Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
