Drugs concealed as headphones were, on Friday, nabbed by custom and border officials at JKIA.
Confirming the incident, the Commissioner of Customs and Border Control Kevin Safari disclosed that the drugs caught were methamphetamine pills.
The Authorities did not, however, disclose if any arrests had been made following the confiscation of the drugs.
The drugs were tested by the officials to ascertain their contents.
A methamphetamine pill is a tablet, commonly reddish-orange or green, that fits inside the end of a drinking straw.
The pills contain a combination of the stimulants, methamphetamine and caffeine, and is an addictive stimulant drug that strongly activates certain systems in the brain.
The drug produces euphoria in the user with documented effects including irritability/aggression, anxiety, nervousness, convulsions, and insomnia.
The confiscation of the drugs is one of many that has been reported at the airport.
Earlier in March, Anti-Narcotic detectives, working with other stakeholders nabbed narcotic drugs (Heroin) which had been concealed between hard size covers of books.
The detectives seized the heroin which had arrived in Kenya on transit from Kigali in Rwanda to Guangzhou in China.
In another incident, a man was arrested with heroin worth Ksh15 million that had been concealed in pawpaw fruits.
