Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, has penned a moving tribute to Kiambaa survivor, Elizabeth Wangui and Veteran North Rift Peace and Reconciliation activist Rose Kisama.
Kuria highlighted that in honor of the two ladies, Kenyans should avoid divisive politics.
"We forgive but we will never forget. In your honour, gallant ladies, I dare say 'Never Again'.
For the honour of Mama Elizabeth and Sister Rose, we shall remedy that in the fullness of time. Rest in peace Mama," Kuria wrote.
The late Wangui was one of the survivors of the Kiambaa church fire in 2007-08 post-election violence.
Her son, Phillip Kimunya, cited that Wangui had been suffering from depression and died at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret last Saturday.
The photo of the late Wangui wailing ouside the burning Assemblies of God church, had gone viral internationally.
"My mother has been ailing since then mainly because of depression and other health challenges until she died on Saturday,” Kimunya stated.
Kinyua divulged that the government had promised to compensate his mother Ksh 400,000 but only gave him Ksh 50,000.
