Worshippers Shocked as Burglars Ransack Baringo Church in Night Raid

Worshipper at the Full Gospel Church in Kabarnet, on Sunday, walked into shocking scenes, after their sanctuary was run through by burglars.

The incident which is believed to have occurred in the wee hours Sunday morning, is currently being investigated by local police.

Reports by Citizen Digital disclosed that the thieves were able to gain entry into the church compound through the fence.

They then made their way to the church, where they reportedly broke several window panes, thereby gaining access into the main church.

Eyewitnesses at the scene of the crime, claimed to have found dismantled padlocks on the ground, which is believed to be how the burglars were able to enter the church's safe room, where all the valuables were stored.

They then made away with a Piano, power amplifiers, several cables, before going on to destroy one of the speakers and other church property valued to be worth well over Ksh 200,000.

Police also recorded a church offering kit containing Ksh 10,000 as part of the loot from the church.

They went on to assure the church faithful that they would get to the bottom of the matter, and identify the thieves who are believed to be locals.

Bishop Daniel Chemon, of the Full Gospel Church, vehemently rebuked the unknown perpetrators, going on to add that God would come down hard on the culprits.
