Veteran NTV Journalist Honoured at Maiden Churchill Show Awards

On Friday, veteran NTV journalist, Emmanuel Juma, was honoured by endeared comedian, Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill, at a maiden awards show dubbed Taji Awards.

Juma, famed for his comical news segment Bullseye, won the Hilarious News Segment award.

“Very nice, it’s beautiful and original. This is for someone who has done a lot in the news. Every Friday, he has made us laugh.

“Ladies and gentlemen, show your love for Emmanuel Juma,” Churchill announced amid cheers from the audience.

The award was picked by Justus Tharao, Head of TV and Executive Producer at Nation Media Group, on behalf of Juma, who was absent.

“I want to say thank you on behalf of Juma.

"For 11 years, he has done news in a different way," Tharao heaped praise on the journalist.

Comedian Timothy Njuguna alias Njugush also won the Online Content Creator award.

Njugush, who was caught unawares, expressed gratitude to Churchill for recognising his contribution to comedy.

Churchill plans to have fans vote in the second edition of the awards at a later stage.
