A Dutch tycoon entangled in a messy divorce case with his estranged Kenyan wife has gone missing in Nairobi.
Tobs Limited Company CEO, Tob Cohen, had alleged that his estranged wife, Sarah Wairimu, in cahoots with some police officers, were out to harass him in a bid to get all his properties.
The family, through his lawyer Dunstan Omari, wrote to the Inspector General of Police claiming Cohen had been missing from July 19.
His sister, Gabriele Cohen, revealed that she was in constant communication with her brother until July 19 when the victim’s phone went off.
“Due to his unusual silence, the relatives made a formal complaint to the Dutch police at Amsterdam who reported his sudden disappearance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” Omari added.
The lawyer further alleged that the ministry officials severally tried to get in contact with Cohen with no success.
He then claimed that when contacted, Wairimu curiously alleged that the victim had travelled to Thailand for three weeks for urgent medical attention.
Cohen, in a letter dated April 23, complained to IG Hillary Mutyambai and DPP Noordin Haji about efforts by some police officers and his estranged wife to abuse the criminal justice system.
The Star reported that when his lawyer’s associates visited his premises on July 26, they found that it was deserted though his dog was still in the house.
The family also alleged that the Spring Valley deputy OCS declined to have their complaint officially recorded in the OB after they went to report the matter.
The lawyer doubts Cohen's current status due to the "suspicious revelations from Wairimu about his current whereabouts and the background of the issues between the two".
