Uhuru's Hard Tackle on MP That Cracked Up Mourners at Laboso's Funeral [VIDEO]

President Uhuru Kenyatta, on Saturday, cracked up mourners at the funeral service of the late Bomet Governor, Joyce Laboso, after taking a swipe at Muhoroni MP James Onyango K'Oyoo.

Speaking at Fort Ternan where the requiem mass for the departed governor was held, the president told K'Oyoo, who is the area MP, that he wants to visit the constituency to launch development projects and not to attend funerals.

"K'Oyoo, I don't want to keep coming to Muhuroni for burials. I want us to build something. You are just talking a lot.

"Liaise with the governor so that we can do something. Is that not so?" Uhuru stated.

His remarks left those who had attended that service of the late governor in stitches.

Earlier, the outspoken lawmaker had told the president that he should leave his bodyguards behind when he visits Kisumu County.

"This constituency is very peaceful and you should treat it as an extension of Icahweri. When you come here, you don't need bodyguards.

"Raila had instructed us that you are his brother and in this part of the world, if you have agreed with him, you have agreed with us," K'Oyoo remarked.

Uhuru's last visit to the constituency was on Saturday, January 19, 2019 when he attended the burial of former Youth Enterprise Fund (YEDF) Chairman Bruce Odhiambo.
