EXCLUSIVE: K24 Investigative Journalist Resigns After Somalia Assignment

K24 TV top investigative journalist Franklin Wallah has resigned.

Taking to social media on Wednesday, Wallah declared, "Today serves the day I did my last Special Report on K24TV. It has been awesome and real for the last three and a half years."

Highly placed sources confirmed that the investigative journalist had tendered his resignation on Friday after landing back from Somalia, where he was covering a story that aired on Monday and Tuesday, Mkengeuko Wa Somalia and The Front Line.

The sources revealed that Wallah's decision to quit was motivated by personal reasons.

It is not yet clear where the investigative guru is heading to as his phone was not going through when he was reached for comment.

Additional sources allege that he might be headed to NIS, while others indicate KTN has been mooting to him to revamp their Investigative Desk.

Wallah is considered a resourceful and well-connected person in matters to do crime and investigative reports.

Wallah has done several exposés among them CCTV footage of the late Mary Kamangara, the slain Kori wife - Kiambu murder, Kisirani Kisauni - Terror Gangs of Kisauni and Giza la Gaza - Terror Gangs of Kayole.

Other than reporting, the Daystar University Alumnus runs a production and printing, clothing line and mini-boutique - a hustle he began while in campus.

"I was really inspired by the interest from the students. They supported my business enough to sustain me," he stated in a past interview.
