Lulu Hassan & Rashid Abdalla Clash With Bi Msafwari on Marriage Issues

Citizen TV anchors Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdalla are arguably the power couple of Kenyan media hosting the Prime Time Kiswahili news together.

Over the weekend, during their marriage counselling segment the duo was hosting Bi Msafwari where they were discussing the role of the mother-in-law in marriage.

From the start, Bi Msafwari believed that the mothers of the couple should be respected especially when it came to the wife.

"You should respect the mothers because they raised your husband for you from when they were toddlers to the point they married you," she maintained.

On his part, Rashid interjected her sentiments arguing that the mothers should observe boundaries in a couple's life as their meddling was often the cause of disagreements in many marriages.

Echoing his sentiments, Lulu Hassan added that the mothers feel threatened when their sons find a wife stating that the finances are diverted to the new home rather than their upkeep.

In disagreement, Bi Msafwari advised that wives should humble themselves in front of their mothers-in-law adding that in the event the mother needed money, the wife should be the one to forward the same.

She further faulted the current generation of women for not taking advice from their mothers-in-law.

"The wives nowadays are hard-headed and don't respect their mothers. When we try to give subtle hints correcting some behaviour they take it negatively and later post on their WhatsApp status to shame their mothers.

"These women, of Lulu's age, are not advisable," Bi Msafwari castigated.
