Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu, on Thursday, raised complaints about Interior CS, Fred Matiang'i, in the presence of Deputy President William Ruto, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen, National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale, Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka and Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja.
They were having discussions at the sidelines of the commemoration of the 41st anniversary of Kenya's first President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta's death, at his mausoleum along Parliament Road.
Governor Waititu also claimed that Nominated MP, Maina Kamanda, was part of the people giving him sleepless nights.
"Wale watu wananilemea ni huyu (pointing at Kamanda) na Matiang'i. Kwa sababu Matiang'i na Nyoro walienda shule pamoja na nyinyi. Lakini mimi ni mtu wa mungu (The people who have been bothering me is Kamanda and Matiang'i. Matiang'i and Nyoro went to the same school and have a history)," Waititu was heard saying.
DP Ruto broke out in laughter and shied away from making a response.
The Kiambu County boss has been battling allegations of corruption, which he claimed were meant to malign him.
His Deputy, James Nyoro, is keen on taking reins at the county since Waititu was barred from his office, until his case is heard and determined.
During a past Sunday service, the embattled governor alleged that his association with Ruto had also attracted some of the problems he is facing.
"There are people close to President Uhuru Kenyatta who are behind all this pressure I'm facing.
"They think that as long as Uhuru is in power, they can continue to intimidate us," he spoke.
