"The centre will be a one-stop-shop for the screening and treatment of cancer. My focus remains the people of Machakos," he tweeted.

Mutua lauded the health workers, citing the fact that to date, 52,012 babies had been successfully born in ambulances, while their mothers were been ferried to the hospital.

He reiterated his commitment to ensuring each and every member of his county as well as the greater Ukambani region, had access to quality health care.
