It is said that when you own up to your mistakes they can’t be used against you.
That is what K24 TV’s Betty Kyallo did when she hilariously responded to Twitter users who tried to bring up the issue of her divorce with NTV's Dennis Okari.
On Friday, the news anchor had interviewed gospel musician, Bahati, who talked about his married life, and the media personality weighed in with her advice.
The interview was so smooth that a netizen by the name Ed, suggested that she should try being a marriage counsellor.
“You should make marriage counselling as a side hustle. Nice interview,” Ed opined.
In response, Betty reminded the netizen that her own marriage had gone up in flames. Posting “Kama nilishindwa (If I failed in my own).”
Paul, another Twitter user, then told Betty that it was because she gave up too early.
The sassy TV queen fired back asking “Oh, because tulikuwa pamoja (Were we together)?”
A social media user by the name Ngugi advised Betty to ignore her haters because they were just trying to get her attention.
“Despite perceived hate from some quarters, many of us actually love you and appreciate your work.
“You are a fresh breath to journalism. Kwanza (Especially) Weekend with Betty is just top-notch. Keep it up and have a great weekend,” praised Dick Aseri.
