Jeff Koinange Honours His 2 Year Promise to Ken Okoth

Renowned Citizen TV news anchor, Jeff Koinange, on Saturday, announced that he had honoured the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth's promise.

On his Facebook page, Koinange publicized that he had launched 'The Ken Okoth library' at Mbagathi Girls in Kibra to honour the fallen hero.

"Folks... Almost two years ago, former Kibra MP, the late Ken Okoth challenged me on the bench to build a library for the kids at Mbagathi High School! He called it the Jeff Koinange library. Today, we have started stocking the shelves with books," he highlighted.

The JKL show host went ahead and stated that the library would be named after the late MP.

"On top of that I will rename the library the 'Ken Okoth Memorial Library' By the way, you can donate books anytime," he concluded.

The recently deceased Kibra MP had invested a lot in promoting education in Kibra, as well as creating various platforms for children to express themselves artistically.

The two had shared hearty moments on Koinange's highly acclaimed TV show, where Okoth is remembered for the elaborate articulation of his overall dream for Kibra, a dream he fought for until his last breath.

Okoth was diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer, a fact he chose to make public on February 2019.
