Ex-K24 Investigative Journalist Joins KTN

Journalist Franklin Wallah, who headed the K24TV Crime and Investigative Desk, is set to join the KTN team.

The reporter tendered his resignation at K24TV earlier in August after returning from Somalia on an assignment.

Announcing his move to the Mombasa Road-based media house, Wallah expressed his excitement via his social media handles.

"Hivi majuzi niliwaaga kheri wenzangu (K24TV) nikatokwa chozi na ikaniuma sana moyoni. Ghafla, hii leo nimepata makaribisho yenye fanaka hapa (KTN), kuashiria ni mwamko mpya katika safari ya kujenga tajriba yangu.

(I recently resigned from K24 and I shall be working at KTN where I shall continue to hone my investigative journalism skills)" he stated.

Sources indicated that he was set to join KTN last year in August but the journalist had not made up his mind.

Barely a month since he resigned, Wallah will be part of KTN's investigative desk headed by Hussein Mohammed, and will work to revamp the desk with the likes of Brian Obuya, Siraj Abdulrahman who was also at K24TV.

Credible sources at KTN cited that Wallah was coming on board with a new investigative program that will dwell on crime and other issues of interest.

Wallah is considered a resourceful and well-connected person in matters crime and investigative reports.

He has done several exposés among them Kisirani Kisauni - Terror Gangs of Kisauni and Giza la Gaza - Terror Gangs of Kayole.
