Wendy Waeni’s former manager Joseph Mwangi was arrested on Monday evening.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr affirmed that the lead investigating officer as well as interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i had confirmed the arrest.
"Joe Mwangi is now a guest of the State," the Senator tweeted to Citizen TV's Jeff Koinange.
The arrest warrant which had been issued by the DCI revealed that he was wanted in connection with forgery and threatening Wendy’s mum Magdalene Mbele.
"Mr Joseph Mwangi NDUTA alias Joe is in our custody. He will be charged appropriately once the necessary police process is complete. We thank everyone that shared information on his whereabouts," DCI tweeted.
The manager's woes began the moment Wendy accused him of exploiting her talents for selfish reasons, during an interview on Jeff Koinange's live show.
Wendy further claimed that the Mwangi never gave her mum a single penny despite her numerous performances.
