Motorist Stops & Lectures MP Caught Overlapping [VIDEO]

There have been a number of incidences where politicians and other leaders are seen misusing their powers to drive on the wrong side of the road inconveniencing other motorists.

It appears Kenyans have had enough and are taking the fight against impunity by leaders.

In a clip that surfaced online on Tuesday, Kirinyaga woman representative, Wangui Ngirici, found herself on the receiving end of a brave motorist who stopped her vehicle which was allegedly overlapping.

The agitated motorist is seen lecturing the MP for flaunting traffic rules.

The confrontation doesn't seem to take to long as the motorist stands his ground

"You are a grown woman and should follow the rules. Shame on You... And you are trying to punch me?" the man can be seen dressing down the legislator.

Eventually, the MP's vehicle is seen turning back into its lane.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, the man in the video shed more light on the incident that took place on Wednesday of the previous week.

"She was very confrontational and abusive threatening us, asking if we know who she is. But I held my ground and wasn't having any of it.  As the commotion ensued, she was getting embarrassed as people started to pile up and she left," explained Francis Oluoch.

Responding to the video, Ngirici admitted that she had been involved in the altercation while attending to an emergency.

"Yes, sometimes back I had an incident involving overlapping on the road. I was rushing to attend to a patient who was admitted at KNH. Sometimes, even leaders are reminded by the citizens about society and its values.

"I took the lesson, appreciated and apologized accordingly. To grow together as one cohesive and harmonious society, we must remind and correct each other whenever we go wrong or make mistakes," she stated via her social media.

Earlier in June, activist Boniface Mwangi displayed his usual bravado after he blocked a ‘VIP’ motorcade, forcing it to change direction.

Here is the video of Woman Representative Wangui Ngirici being dressed down by the motorist:
