President Uhuru Kenyatta dropped Ministry of Tourism PS Susan Koech in the reshuffle that happed on Friday, September 6, 2019.
Ms Koech was fired after being implicated in the Kimwarer and Arror dams scandal, that also involved Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and his PS Kamau Thugge.
Former Irrigation PS Fred Segor has replaced his outgoing Tourism counterpart.
The Daily Nation, in July, reported that Susan has had a short career in the public service, and her only stain is the dam scandal.
Koech was arrested by detectives from DCI just moments before flying out of the country.
The local newspaper also published that when the news broke that Koech was wanted by detectives after DPP Noordin Haji gave the order, she was headed to JKIA.
She was then driven to DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road, where other suspects were also held.
They were joined by lawyers in the boardroom of the Serious Crimes Unit at Mazingira Complex.
One by one, the suspects were summoned to write their cautionary statements and were informed of their charges.
She faces charges of conspiracy to defraud, contrary to Section 317 of the Penal Code and engaging in a project without prior planning.
